This is a great place if you want a relaxed coffee and perhaps a cake too. The seating is upstairs. They even sell a few items.

Went there to get a breakfast with a friend but the lady seems didn't like to serve for us. Said they don't have much breakfast which was true but then why serve breakfast.

Recommended by Lonely Planet, this place has a great decor and is inviting. Disappointed by the menu, especially since many of our choices weren't available. My husband had the vegan vegetable garden salad which turned out to be more like a side salad without dressing....Knowing it is hard to find a good vegan/veggie meal in the area the salad wasn't such a big surprise, the fact that is costs as much as other main dishes with fries and bread was a let down.More

The cafe caters to the Mongolian palate with western cuisines such as club sandwiches (beef or chicken) relatively flavorless in line with the local preference. The setting is superb in an old building that has been tastefully renovated. Downstairs is a wine store, and teas...are also on sale. The coffee I had with my sandwich was quite nice.More

I've been frequenting this laid back cafe for years. The food is generally good, the coffee ranges from good to abysmal, depending on who makes it. Staff are friendly. Good music, and couches for lounging. The clientèle is mainly locals, with a few foreigners. Good...alternative to the tourist hangouts.More

Was showing a friend around town and was one of the few places open early in the weekend for breakfast. Good coffee and omelet was my order.

I was expecting lot more than i experienced. I waited my pizza for 25minutes because of waitress who was using her mobile on the desk whole time i was there. She brought the pizza when the chef could not wait her to bring so because...it has already been ready to be served.... so disappointed ... Never heard greetings, and appreciation. Only felt ignorance.. Will not choose again after such bad service..More

Nayra (upstairs) is a great place to hang out with friends or do some work with its fast wifi. My friend and I had a huge breakfast there that included coffee or tea, juice, toast, eggs, and bacon for 11,000 Tugrik. Perhaps pricey by Mongolian...standards but servings were large. Ran into several non-Mongolians there as well as Mongolian nationals. There is a tiny used book selection of English books for purchase. Nayra (downstairs) has a great selection of coffees, teas, wines, and a small bakery.More

The coffee here is pretty tasty - YES! Thanks Nayra. I like the portion sizes and prices - both reasonable but not crazy. Nice place to spend a Saturday morning for brunch with your buds - not a common sight here in UB!

We stumbled across Nayra cafe when we were walking after visiting the History Museum. It is a cozy coffee shop which also has a wine store inside. The wines looked good and were cheap. Since it was our last day in UB before we headed...out to the countryside, we did not buy any wine. They have some interesting coffees and they have a good tea collection. We enjoyed our coffee and teas. The chocolate cake was hard and not appetizing at all. But the coffees made up for it. The cafe also has free fast internet, which was definitely useful as we were making plans and sending emails.More
