Ordered beef burritos and beef tacos with a few soft drinks. Short waiting time. They were pretty good, reasonable prices as well.

Food is alright here but not spectacular. The atmosphere is nice and the people are friendly. Good drinks and they often have salsa dancing and good latin music here. Great hangout spot.

After spending a week in Mongolia and only eating local cuisine we were ready for food with some flavor. We had the burrito (awesome) and the quesadilla (pretty good). I actually ordered tacos but never got them since the wife wanted to make a change to her order and confused the waiter.
Pro tip: just order off the menu, any changes will result in miscommunication.
We also had the margarita (very tasty) and a mojito with champagne (good and unique).
Overall I would reccomend coming here after your travels in country so your taste buds will reawaken.

Ordered beef burger, it was the worst burger I have ever had, I would have done it better at home. Taste was awful and it was cold. Service was not good, waiter spilled my hot drink and did not even provide me with napkin.

Why not have a Mexican restaurant in Mongolia? A great selection of dishes and delicious cocktails too. A pretty special place in a lovely setting. A bit expensive, but worth it.

I lived in Mongolia for two years, recently left but plan to return. Mexikhan is really the only mexican food option i know of in Ulaanbaatar. And i love Mexican so ive checked the place out. On previous visits, ive noticed how the food seemed expensive for the amount of food given. three tiny tacos for 18000 MNT? Ok... I ordered a burrito once on a previous visit. It arrived cut up. First time in any Mexican restaurant ive ever been worldwide that a burrito arrived cut up. But anyway my most recent visit in July has me thinking I will never go back. I went with a friend. After ordering our food, we waited and waited and waited. We noticed a server placed some food on a nearby table that had no customers but didnt think anything of it until about 30 minutes had passed and we still hadnt received our food. I walked over to the table and saw it was exactly what i had ordered. I checked with a server and she said that the server who put that food there was new, and that the food was indeed mine, and that they would make a fresh order for me. But they didnt! 5 minutes later she walked out with the exact same food and gave it to me. How do I know? The food was cold! Come on, dont think I am that stupid. So no, i wont be going back to this place. Horrible service and overpriced food. They dont even give you chips and salsa to snack on while you wait for your food--which they should do since it takes ages to receive, and when it is, its cold! Bye bye Mexikhan. Ill stick with the Soup Place next door or many other good dining establishments in UB.

Cosy restaurant to have a meal. I had lunch recently at MexiKhan after a long drive back from the outback of Mongolia. Steak was juicy and well prepared. Enjoyed the whole set meal, so did my other travelling companions. Service was good, very attentive staff.

The location and setting of this restaurant is great. Decor and atmosphere is nice. However, we waited an hour for the food to arrive. When my enchiladas came they were stone cold and the rice smelled of play dough which I later googled and found out that this meant it was not fresh. The manager was apologetic and gave us complimentary snacks for out wait. Cocktails were nice but really would not go back there again as was a disappointing end to Valentine's Day .

It was a bit difficult to find as we came from other main road. The place is big and had a nice atmosphere with Latin music. Very friendly staff from Cuba served us that evening. The portions are big but not too much. I was hoping for a bit more spicy tacos, but they were really good! Enjoy!

This is a surprising little gem of a restaurant. The food is great and very authenticate central american cuisine. The Mojitos are well done and made with bitters which make them unusual but delicious. The service is friendly, and the overall ambiance is great.

We had a craving for guacamole and chips, and this place didn't disappoint. Very friendly staff with very good English. They are doing building work on one side so found it a little difficult to find, it's down the side road near pizza hut, in the building.

We were very surprised with the quality of the Mexican and Cuban food we had here tonight. At first disappointed by the very limited vegetarian menu options, I was immediately offered vegetarian tacos. The portion was small (enough that I had quesadillas afterwards too) but they were delicious - a meal I'd have been happy with in the UK, let alone in UB!

What a nice find in the middle of the dessert. Went in not expecting much and came out after having a great meal with friends and family. Definitely going again next time we are in the country..

I tried the fish tacos, which were excellent. The sauce mixed with the shredded cabbage in the tacos was somewhat different from what I've had on fish tacos in the U.S. or northern Mexico, but it worked really well. I ordered a side of tortilla chips with it (tortilla chips are not complimentary as is common in North American Mexican restaurants); the chips were pretty much on par with those from most Mexican restaurants, though they sprinkle a spice blend on it which adds a little bit of spicy kick to them. Menu had a decent variety to it, and the service was above average. While I tend to make my own Mexican food at home frequently, I will likely come back here to try more of their dishes.
