I visited here several times whilst living in Istanbul. The prices are low but the stuff is good. Try the breakfast plate (kahvalti) and you'll be full until the evening. Chocolate-banana cake is also delicious. Quiet, peaceful place. But staff doesn't speak English that much.

We randomly discovered this place. The staff was very friendly, the drinks were good and the cake amazing. Prices are reasonable, so recommended.

When I entered there, the waiter, suppose I'm a naive that only tried tea in his lifecourse, indeed it was somehow insulting, although unintentionally, but I forget it and tried to seize the moment, I ordered a cafe Mocchacino and a croissant, both were delicious, the price was so resonable, And finally, the waiter act polotely, It's a quiet and... The drinks we ordered looked delicious and gorgeous on their menu's photos, with a massive amount of cream, but that's clearly not what we've been served. Oh and let's not forget they charge you about 25-30% for the tip, despite writing "10%" on the bill...

When a brand reaches to a level of reputation and volume , it's more important to keep the standards up which was obviously not the case in Ozsut Tunel Beyoglu Yesterday 22 August around 22:40 we three people ( 2 female and 1 male) arrived and went up to second floor and sit down at the fourth table after tall... Unfriendly staff and expensive drinks. We've paid 4.5 turkish lira for a small cup of tea. There are a lot of places in Buyukcekmece that has restaurants and Cafe's with reasonable prices

We had dinner twice so far in the Ozsut Cafe in Essenyurt and dinner was great on both occasions. We had chicken salad and chicken sandwitch in Simit bread. It was great. We later had black forest cake with chesnuts. That was a wow. It is really really tasty and a must try. Over all, I recommend this place in... More

If you are up for good dessert on Istiklal street-you can't go wrong. Delicious sweets, from some Turkish traditional (sutlac, asure, kazandibi) to some classic but very delicious cakes. I don't suggest cofees in places like these,as they don't tend to be "top". I perosnally never had issues with any of the staff (as a matter of fact I had pleasent talk and... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
