I stop and got a few pieces of B. I could not live in Istanbul. I would eat a kilo of these treats a day.

This is by far the best Turkish delight shop in town. I visited the 24/h one in Taxsim and sat down and had the strawberry cake and a variety of eclairs and they were tasty. And then got a few boxes of Turkish delight made up to take home. The prices were extremely reasonable and on par with Egyptian bazar,... More

We were there in winter when it was snowing and decided to warm up with a hot chocolate. What a good pick this was. Nice traditional design, delicious tea and chocolate and we brought a whole load of Turkish delight on our way out, which we have been savouring since then. The price is on the higher end but quite... More

My favorite place Hafiz Mustafa to enjoy with a cup of tea and Turkish delight in Istanbul. I’m always start on the baklawa, a sweet pastry made of layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey and turkish coffee. On top of that, they were serving cakes, puddings, candies, and dried fruits like figs and nectarines.

I visited the restaurant twice in the week I was there and enjoyed it on both occasions. I also took away a load of locum ( Turkish delight) as gifts as the quality is unrivalled.

We had coffee and diamond shaped pistachio baklava here and afterwards bought nougat and baklava as gifts downstairs. The Sirkeci store is at the tram station and has seating upstairs above the shop.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
