Never had disappointment everytime we visit this restaurant. No overcharging and good portion of food. Should try its lahmacun. Its bread is always fresh out of the oven.

Food was delicious, place was clean, best valued for money. We ordered chicken and beef kebab along with special iskandar. Then had apple tea. I liked it very much.

Was overthere last year with the kids. Tasted food from other resturants were not impressed. Got fed up so we Checked trip advisor and found this establishment with good reviews, were not disappointed. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and food was delicious and well presented. Came everyday and enjoyed the meals and the owner came over to say Hi.... More

Food was good , but found it lacked flavour . The Lahmacun are small in comparison to other places . Salads we're nice and service was quick with prices being reasonable . Free Turkish tea nice !

Very good and cheap. Try the Ortaklar Special kebab + Ayran (no beer or wine here of course). 20 TL, hard to beat. This is the real place where the locals go.

I don't do many reviews but this was just outstanding. The service was quick and friendly with delicious food at a relatively low price. Definitely one of the top 10 places to eat in Istanbul. Really recommend

While Istanbul is going through a bit of a tourism dry spell (we were at times the only people at a restaurant), we were wondering where the locals went. They go here! This place is always busy, serves authentic, great food at very decent prices (around 17 Lira) - almost half of what more touristy restaurants offer for the same... More

I rarely review places...but this one really deserves it. The food is good, you could find better in Istanbul, but surely not at this price (meaning that the food is cheap). The staff is very nice and ocasionally offers treats from the house. An overall nice experience with a lot of value added through good food-low prices-firsndly staff and their... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
