I have spent already several evenibgs here over the past years with colleagues and friends. The Bomonti beer is great, the pint draft costs 17lira which is about 5Euro. The Burger and Pizza are what you expect to go along with the beer. On the second floor you start to get the Bosphorus view.

Last weekend a Turkish friend took me to here. It was a little dark and noisy but I love the cocktails especially Long Island. The view is amazing, if you go there try to sit somewhere upstairs in the balcony. It is located in the middle of Ortakoy, so after a drink you can take a walk next to the... More

Visited this pub on New year's Eve the music was excellent a combination of Turkish and English music that keeps you moving. Thumbs up for the Dj and the friendly staff.

What a fantastic location. Than you get welcomed in by a fabulous person at the door. The clientele are cool, the music swings, the food is pretty awful but it's a great vibe. Until the bill arrives. I have been to Bomonti Brasserie with friends, colleagues and family. Sometimes the bill is ok, sometimes it's high. Sometimes it's outrageous! I've... More

The place is cozy and the food tastes ok. It is average but very small portions. My boyfriend got pasta and I got salat and we were both still hungry when we left the place.

The atmosphere in this place is relaxed and very well located at the Bosphorus. You will Enjoy a beer, good chat and a laugh whether you're travelling alone, couple, or with group of friends. DJ mostly play Turkish music with some international songs. I recommend it for drinks and hangouts.

I arrived alone and was shown to a table on the top floor in the middle of the terrace where I would have felt a bit exposed. When I asked to be closer to the railing the waiter immediately understood the reason behind my request. He made room for me at a more secluded table with a good view. The... More

It seemed to be very popular with young Turks. The food was average. We were treated fine, though we did feel a little old. The popular tables by the windows were already taken - the view would have made it better. Loud music - but it was Spanish, French and American... and the American music was from the 70s and... Wonderful lively bar ten minutes walk from the Ciragan Palace, we got to know the staff pretty well and spent many an hour happily ensconced at the bar whilst my beer and nuts were automatically replenished. My mate took to drinking Raki, which probably ended up in the bar having to source a new supply. Happy memories!

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
