Mediocre taste, with very poor service and overpriced with extra charges that appeared on our bill with no explanation. Once confronted the manager regarding the extra charges on our bill with no explanation, they tried show us the menu for justification and thought that we can't read or understand English or Turkish, which has nothing mentioned for the charges that... I adore Manti and Casita which has been in this neighborhood (albeit at different address) for over 20 years continues to satisfy. They now offer a broader menu but nothing beats traditional Turkish manti - tortellini with a yogurt sauce. Their location off Ipkek Sokag is convenient to lulxury stores of Tesvikiye.

You should say at least 3 times what you want.Although I ordered my meal with additional yoghurt with garlic but they forgot. Then I requested yoghurt with garlic, the yoghurt came without garlic. They later brought the yoghurt with garlic but my manti was over. However, when you ask for the bill , it is at the table in a... More

If you haven't eat turkish type ravioli (mantı) before, you must taste it!!! It is very good with yogurt and tomato sauce and Casita is one of the best places to eat it.

Very tasty food, nice atmosphere in the famous neighbourhood of Nisantasi!!! The service is wonderful, everybody is very polite and willing to help you in any way or give you any information you need. The prices are normal especially if you consider the quality of food!

The fried manti is particulary good, I especially like the spinach one. I think the price is a bit high for what it is and it really annoys me when a service charge is automatically added to your bill, like it is here. The atmosphere is quite nice ,a small cafe type restaurant.

You would think that one could find several restaurants serving food late in the night in Istanbul but that's not true. Many restaurants would stop serving after 22:30 and this is why we need places like Casita. It is a winner for those working late or eating really late. My favorite item on the menu is Feraye but all others... More

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
