Great Food, came here three times till now after a long stay in istanbul. Healthy home-made food. No need for fast food when travelling and not cooking, Borsa is here :)

This is a nice and cheap (self-service) restaurant that specializes in traditional Turkish dishes. And it's located a perfect place on Istiklal Avenue.

This small self-service place doesn't even look like a restaurant but you may end up eating one of your very best Turkish meals in Istanbul at a very reasonable price. It is actually a branch of a very good and respectable restaurant with the same name, near the Hilton Hotel. They have a variety of dishes, from soup to meat... More

it's a good chance to try turkish foods for good value. not expensive at all if you compare with others in same area. size of the meals are big enough and you can also drink beer or vine with 'doner kebab'.

I visited two branches during my stay. Four times the Eminönü branch (near my hotel), once the Beyoglu branch. Both places are not for those who wish to have a romantic dinner. They are both self service. Don't worry if you don't understand the Turkish names of the dishes. The English translations are also mentioned for tourists, but the times... More

Although the location is beautiful and the service impeccable, the food was not particularly exciting. Both pasta dishes we tried were overcooked and and imbalanced. It is a fairly expansive restaurant but was nearly empty during our visit...and after our meal i understood why.

Borsa is a chain of luxury restaurants serving authentic food with an enormous culinary background. Beyoğlu branch is a budget version lacking table service but offering almost the same top quality dishes from the counter. There are more than 2000 cafes and restaurants around, but this is one of the few I visit regularly. I absolutely recommend this. Everyday they... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
