The restaurant is located in the Jerusalem Cinematheque. We had a business dinner that is served until five pm. We( two friends)ordered ,a fukacha with two dips, and main course of Ravioli filled with bits and Ricotta cheese garnished with Batata cubes and erbes .It was delicious, accompanied by a glass of Chardonnay. The balcony has e view to the walls... More

I really loved the food in this restaurant . The lamb sausage , sweet potato soup and their bread is just excellent and more over the view from restaurant is amazing. The waiter was a very friendly and professional waiter. Definitely a place to be recommended to anyone who is visiting Jerusalem. Lunch 7.11.2016

Two visits here reinforced that the quality was good, the location (overlooking the Begin Heritage Center) at the Cinematheque is a definite go-to place, especially on Saturday where choices in Jerusalem are somehwat limited. Sit at a window (or on the balcony) and enjoy the views along with the food. English menus available and the staff are very helpful and... More

I confess I was disappointed. The atmosphere at night on the balcony is great and there is certainly a buzz. I have eaten there twice this month and the on both occasions the food was not hot enough, the plate was cold and the service pleasant but slow, Lavan is trying to be something it is not, a classy restaurant.

On friday evening we went to Lavan for dinner. We already knew the place with its beautiful view and cozy athmosphere and being in the neighboorhood we took the chance. The menu is limited but the food is tasty. We also had a very interesting dessert with pistachio ice cream, sesame seeds, olive olive and salt. Very special! Overall we... More

We ordered in advance 7 seats. The bistro restaurant is open on Saturdays so it is an advantage. We ordered some food for starters and everything was tasty. What happened is that after that they forgot to clean and refresh the table for the main course.Anyway it came the moment for the main course. Here too everything was very good. At the end we... More

Yesterday we ate lunch at lavan. The restaurant is located across from the old city walks in a pleasant location. We ordered salad, antipasti dish and aubergine in tahini for starters. Dishes were extremely small not very tasty and nit worth the cost. Main dishes: salmon with polenta was good. Bury fish with kinoa came out of the kitchen cold,... More

The restaurant at the cinematek is open on shabbat and has a varied menu of salads, pasta, meat and fish. The food is tasty and the view from the terrace is special overlooking the wall of the old city of Jerusalem and the valley of Hinnom. My fettucini was well spiced and chewy as it should be. Well worth a... More

This is a very pleasant restaurant at the excellent Cinemateque in Jerusalem. The interior is very nice, and the terrace with its view towards the old town is also very pleasant. Food is not bad at all, even though the menu is not very exciting. Also the course that we had settled for was not available. Prices are quite normal,... More
