So we decided to go without reservation, luckily 2 seats on the bar.(14:00) Famous polenta(the best). Ceaser salad (must to try) Beef sirloin (super) The atmosphere is super like in the market, the ingredients are super fresh and the combinations between them is genius. 10% off for business lunch 100 dollars for couple- alot of food.

We went to the Market area by day and by night. Boy, what a difference! At daytime it has the authentic Israeli touch: lots of fruit, vegetables, spices, jewellery and what not. It can be quite crowdy, but it only adds to the atmosphere. At night, the other side of the market comes alive: Pubs and restaurants are full of... More

So like I was just here in Jerusalem a few years ago and machane yehudah was a bustling daytime food shopping extravaganza and now abrakadabbra it's a night bar emporium. Over 20 bars and many serve sushi. Great place to have a night cap especially because most places are closed after 11. This place is open probably till 2am. A... More

The restaurant is delicious and fun. Does it live up to the reputation and hype? Yes and no. We did the tasting menu. Got to try a lot of things. Most were delicious, some were just ok. Service was good, not great. Expected everything to be a little better given the hype.

Machneyuda is all about the spectacle of the kitchen. Wherever you sit, you can view the pyrotechnical displays of the chefs, and enjoy a rowdy, fun, lively experience. It's noisy, so don't go there if you want quiet intimate conversation. But if you can put up with the noise and seemingly chaotic surrounds, you are in for a gastronomic treat.... More

We were a group of four and the quality of the food was inconsistent. Some dishes were good and some not so: the lamb dish was mostly fat and Shikshukit had a bitter taste. Service was very polite and friendly. Bottom line: doesn't justify the cost and reputation

Very high levels of food and service! Powered by one of the best chefs in Israel Assaf Granit. Any choose from the menu will be epic!

It was great fun. Our tour company held a scavenger hunt to encourage the use of our Hebrew and get the kids talking to folks in the market. I now have a too great appreciation of coffee halvah!
