Nowadays, it is getting harder to find authentic cuisines regardless of your travel destination. This is the real thing. Marvelous Iraqi/Tunisian/Turkish meat restaurant. Portions are huge. Soups are great. Slow cooked meals. Select something that you would not normally eat. Rare opportunity.

My husband had the VERY BEST meatball and sauce ever. BEST hummus with warm fresh bread. I had an eggplant dish filled with beef, onions and cinnamon - amazing dish. Amazing service. On the edge of the market, totally worth looking for.

A real treat. We each ordered an eggplant dish and tge6 were both great. Highly recommend. Don’t expect atmosphere except for the bustling market. Just enjoy the food.

A truely special restaurant in the Iraqi section of Machane Yehuda. Authentic (kosher) Iraqi food. The kubbeh beet soup is to die for, as are the stuffed vegetables.

Azura is ranked as one of the best restaurants in Jerusalem and it is not difficult to see why. Its location, right next to the big food market, has lots of atmosphere. Staff is friendly and efficient. Only drawback is the fact that the kima...More

Sabbath or not, they are not open in the evenings. Anyway, the food is finished very quickly (after 3 or 4 pm, you are left with "left over"). So I don't think there is a need to serve in the evenings.
