For me, this is the best home-made hummus in the Old City, and cheap too (count about 15 shekels for a plate of hummus with pitta bread and pickles). You can have it served with baked beans too, I can recommend you to stop there any time you feel a bit hungry. The only issue is that it is not... More

Had a chance to visit today with the whole family. It was ok. Not too good I'm afraid . The humus was ok the makluba although tasty was really oily and the price of three humus two maklubas and a maluchia and soft drinks was 200 shekels. A rip off no doubt!!! Ha and there's no menu so the bill... More

I really enjoyed dining at Abu Taher. The owner was friendly and kind and the food was fresh, home-made and excellent! I had lamb and it was very authentic and good. The hummos was among the very best I have had anywhere. It's made right on site: you can see the bowl with mortice and pestle as you walk in!... More

I was showing people around Jerusalem which I do quite often. We had just finished visiting the holy Sepulchre and we felt a bit hungry. an excellent spot for lunch in the old city of Jerusalem. Menu varies - you get whatever is cooked today. Authentic Palestinian cuisine for very low prices: First dished are 10 to 20 NIS while main course is 30 to 40 NIS.
