We recently stayed at the Hashimi Hotel along Khan Al Zait Street and enjoyed two nice lunches at the Family Restaurant, which is almost next door to the hotel. This is a friendly and casual place with a large seating area. As the restaurant name implies, we found this to be a good place for families to enjoy reasonably priced... More

We found this restaurant while wandering around. We stopped for a quick lunch, but it ended up a lot more than that. It was a feast and the value was excellent for Old City

Our group of 34 pilgrims stopped for lunch on our way to the Church of the Holy Selpulchre. Despite the size of our group, the food and service were fantastic. Loved the fresh lemonade and three kinds of skewers.

I had half a chicken & chips served at the table for 40 shekels. Additional were 2 x bread buns (flat round) and 4 salad extras. The meal was well prepared, the chicken well spiced and tender, the chips (fries) crispy and properly fried with hardly any oil. Needless to say - there was no way I could finish that... More

Good price, good food and good service! The waiters are very attentive and supportive and they are from the same family! Definitely it's for me the best restaurant in Old City!

Yeah, I would say the restaurant was quite good. Not that I would give the whole five stars, but not even close for one star either. However, I liked both the food and service.

You must stop here on any visit to Jerusalem! Been coming here once a year for about 8 years and it's always fantastic. Great food, simple atmosphere, revamped in the last year, great hospitality, a real treasure.

Thank zuzazu

The Family Restaurant was open in 1942, being in the heart of the old city of Jerusalem, next to the major junction of the via de la rosa st., crowds of locals and tourist used to come in, enjoy their meal whether fresh meat skewers, grilled chicken, barbecue varieties and defiantly the best salad appetizers as well as the famous home-made Homous and Falafel. The Restaurant contains two roman arches which date back to more than 2000 years old and a third Ottoman arc which is about 100-200 years old. The Restaurant Family members welcome you all days of the week from 9 till 8. Best Regards Abed Restaurant Manager
