Great food and generous portions. The atmosphere was lacking as we were the only diners that evening. The restaurant deserves more patronage.

Very simple delicious food. Like your Jewish grandma used to make you. + home made lemon vodka. Make sure you make a reservation.

When you think about typical Jewish food in the US, most foods that comes to mind are the Eastern European family & holiday foods from our grandparents' & parents' generations. The food here reminded me of things my grandmother and my aunts made. This is a small and very friendly restaurant. We were three people, each ordered something different, and... More

Outdated decor but in line with the spirit of the restaurant. Too bad they can't cook because I love the menu : it is just like home in the shtettel The meats are poor quality, the food is not presented in an appetizing way n everything is bland not all is homemade and they have not thought to add any... Not many restaurants have survived in Tel Aviv for as long as Shmulik Cohen, and given the high standards of the locals, this has to be something special. I love traditional Ashkenazi food and to my mind there is no better place in Tel Aviv for this fare. The staff are always very attentive and the food is excellent. Towards... More

Shmulik Cohens had been in existence since 1938. The traditional Jewish and kosher foods are just like my Bobba made. The chopped liver, herrings, puca, kreplach and so forth are authentic and delicious. As main courses the cholent and kishka is superb, the roast chicken and roast beef just super. When we ate there last night Mical Anski, a judge... More

This restaurant is like eating in your Grandma's dining room. It is a small restaurant with about 6 tables, and you must book beforehand. They feed you up just like Grandma would, and when you are fit to bursting they give you extras 'on the house'. The food is delicious and they spoil you rotten. A wonderful experience.
