As a tourist I love finding places off the main roads. Solo pizza was awesome. Totally tucked away in a back road but so worth the walk. This is a small place that is quite hip. The average age was probably 25. Great service and great pizza. The garlic bread was amazing. I would highly recommend!!! Find your way to... More

I would say that Solo Pizza is the only one where you can get a Napolitano pizza at its best. The place is small but unique. The only unfortunate thing is the surrounding area where it is almost neglected and not so many shops or restaurants. Nevertheless, sometimes you have to wait for at least half an hour to get... Friendly crowd, amazing enthusiastic crowd. The owners work there and it's a nice change for a Kuwaiti restaurant. The pizzas are delicious and officially certified thin crust doughy Napulitana pizzas. They say you know a pizza is good by the tomato sauce used. And let me tell you: the sauce is perfect. The menu is perfect and the restaurant is... More

Heard so much about this pizza joint so obviously had to patronize, anyway got here and the parking was a nightmare, there isn't a parking area to speak of, anyway found a spot and pulled into it. The pizza joint was just too small to be even classified as cozy and the music was playing loud so much so that... More

This place is running with "smart" marketing hype, not for tasty authentic Italian pizza. The pizzas were "burnt" on the bottom side. Topping was just cheese and less ingredients. 5KD for a pizza with this taste, preparation and the place is STUPID As someone mentioned earlier, pizzas are like "Iranian bread" with cheese:) Please avoid this place !! my first... A locally crafted Pizza joint that started as a small project and grew up to be a HIT. Weekends are very busy and location / table set up not the best. But if your taste buds ask for Pizza - this is a must try.

My review might be, for personal reasons, belated. However, If you think of trying the original italian pizza in its fab taste, so this is the place to be. Don't miss it!

Description
SOLO Pizza Napulitana (SOLO) There is a little piece of Napoli located in a small corner of Sharq, in Kuwait City; where owner and Pizzaiolo, pizza maker, Amr AlRefai, wanted to introduce the concept of a true and simple Neapolitan pizza experience. Established in 2011, 'SOLO' is the first pizzeria in Kuwait to be awarded the Seal of Authenticity by the Association of True Neapolitan Pizza, "Vera Pizza Napoletana (VPN)", becoming the 353rd member in the world. This pizza is made with the freshest of ingredients, cooked in a traditional wood-fired oven built by fourth generation Neapolitans, and shipped all the way over from Napoli. Flash baked and fire kissed, SOLO's pizza, in one bite, has your taste buds begging for more. When making a pizza, artisan pizzaioli in Napoli are creating a magnificent work of art. All the flavors of Napoli: fluffy handmade dough, rare San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, lush green basil, and extra virgin olive oil come together to create this masterpiece; where "less is more". Like the traditional pizzaioli of Napoli, the pizzeria runs according to a strict code of values: simplicity, authenticity, honesty, integrity, and respect. This small pizzeria conveys all that is Napoli, where old meets new. The delightful smell of pizza baking inviting you in, creates a cozy and warm atmosphere. Step inside 'SOLO', and taking center stage, is the traditional wood-fired oven decorated in tiny tiles of smoky grey and fire red orange. Take a seat in any of the marble tables or at the bar, to get an up close view of the traditional pizza making in action. In the end, all that matters, is that a little piece of Napoli is about to be served steaming hot, right in front of you, and as the Italians say "Buon appetito!"
