It is a nice british bar in the heart of monot street in Beirut. Walking distance from Sodeco and Abdel wahab. It is a bit over priced specially the local 961 draft beer. And the music is almost absent the ambiance is neutral. Recommended for after work but not for parties

Walked in early one evening to an empty place, save it from 2 bartenders behind the bar. Headed to the bar with a grin to ask for our drinks, we were greeted by a non-welcoming gesture and an aggressive look on both guys forbidding us to sit anywhere on the bar if we're not fans of the football game on... If you are looking for nice place to drink beer and watch a game this is the place. They also have a nice kitchen. You can make a reservation for big games which i recommend because it can get crowded.

We went there to watch the rugby match, had beer appetizers and nice burger, the food is bio and tasty! The ambiance is great! I would recommend for drink, casual dinner for couples, and friends!

This was my second visit to the Greedy Goose. They show British football and I wanted to watch QPR v Forest. Got there just on kick off time and the owner Waleed found the game. The only thing was he being a Chelsea fan had their game on the main screen with the commentary. Still it was a good match... More

Happened to be in town for the 6 nations and it seemed like the only place to watch it. Atmosphere was good, staff friendly and welcoming. Food was fine, but it's not on the gastro scale.

This is one of the de remaining places to watch football and rugby. Seating at the bar is ok with screens right facing you. The big screen is also good although the projector needs an upgrade. The draught beer is reasonable with 5-7$ and the food as well. The fries, lamb burger, Caesar salad, chicken sandwich are good choices for... More

My fiance and I (both expats) went for our first visit and had a reservation, with the intent to watch football. We arrived on time, and did not like where we were seated (no view of TV). Our 2nd option was also unsuitable. When we suggested a location (the bar was half empty) we were given several reasons why we... More

This is the best place I have found in Beirut to go for a pint in a laid back atmosphere. I have only tried the lamb burger with real bacon and cheese and it was really good!

Description
The Greedy Goose is the first gastropub in Lebanon.
A gastropub concentrates on quality food. The name is a combination of pub and gastronomy and was coined in 1991 when David Eyre and Mike Belben took over The Eagle pub in Clerkenwell, London. The concept of a restaurant in a pub reinvigorated both pub culture and British dining.
We also show all live major sports events.
