We were visiting my daughter who lives in Gemmayze and she took us to this wonderful restaurant. It consists of an old traditional Lebanese house in the grand style with an open courtyard and a choice of places to eat. We ate inside next to the wine cellar stacked up against the end wall in a temperature controlled environment. We... More

A very enjoyable place in the heart of Gemmayzeh (parallel to the main street). Not my first time. Occasionally have dinner with a few friends. Tonight we decided to go and the ambience was as always enjoyable. The waiters are very polite and warm when interacting with customers. I ordered the pizza goat cheese and dried tomatoes. I did not... More

The gathering is a one of a kind restaurant in Gemmayze, nestled between few old authentic Lebanese houses. The food is amazing , the service is impeccable and best is when the weather is good to sit in the garden .

I visited the place with a group of friends on a Saturday evening and it got quite busy. The food is good, but isn't in any way special. I have eaten far better pizzas and the size of the portions (at least from the steak) would never satisfy a hungry man. Plus the prices are considerably high, a standard Prosciutto... More

The Gathering used to be one of my favourite places to visit whenever in Lebanon. Unfortunately the last time we went was during our Christmas vacation. We went on a Friday night not sure we were going to find a seat. There was plenty of availability. The ambiance was rather quiet. We were in the bar area. The service was... More

This place deserves an excellent rating because of the outdoors seating area (rare in Beirut) and a phenomenal wine list. Large choice of items on the food menu. Steaks are great, and so are the ravioli, pizza and gnocchi, to name but a few. A place to be visited over and over again.

I've been to The Gathering several times and I have never once been disappointed. The risotto, the sandwiches and the pizzas are all favorites of mine and my family. But the risotto is always a must whenever we go! The venue itself is of a romantic setting outside and an intimate cozy one when inside.

Seriously do not go there for food experience. They laugh in your face, proposing you ridiculous portions of food for very high prices. Plates are very average and portion tiny. Service is slow and staff un experienced, ready to tell you anything to sell!!
