+ Food was delicious and prompt, Cafe was comfortable and modern with a good vibe despite the staff not being too pleasant and welcoming (quick tip to staff.. SMILE) . I would definitely recommend for anyone who's looking to have a nice coffee and to escape the heat as the cafe is air-conditioned. - Although I don't recommend eating here... More

First place we went when arriving in Tonga at lunchtime. Had the swordfish which was very nice. Free wifi which doesn't seem to be the norm there and most importantly it was a break from the heat outside

I visited here while in Tonga with some friends. This cafe felt different to the others in Tonga. It's very sharp and modern, cool air conditioned interior and felt great. The food is a little more pricey but well worth it, with their cakes and slices being well known. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Enjoy the uber delicious and refreshing local dish of ota ika (raw fish in coconut milk) on the menu with a cool coconut. All of this had in air conditioned bliss and lovely surroundings. Had their ota ika for dinner and it was quite superb. Lovely to find an air-conditioned cafe open so late in the evening. Lovely cafe, centrally... More

We came to Tonga in Decmeber/ January 2016 and stayed for 31 days. during these months Tonga is very humid and hot. Café Escape is the place to eat at, it has great food, great customer service and most importantly AIRCON!

It was very hot & humid when I was last in Nuku'alofa, hence the aircon at Escape was very welcome. I had dinner here, and all of us enjoyed our food - I can recommend the Ota ika. Good vegetarian options here too (hard to find in Tonga).

For a small city Nuku'alofa boasts of several nice cafes especially around CBD and the waterfront. The Cafe Escape is one such place with good eating options and excellent selection of drinks, hot and cold. Service is good, warm and friendly.

You get a nice coffee in this place. Both my husband and I went here for breakfast. Many of the things that I wanted from the menu weren't available....no English breakfast tea and no bacon although alternatives were offered. Hubby had a big piece of lemon cake which was 10 pa'anga which I felt was pretty expensive. Nice and clean... More

If there's any place you need a fix for your sugar tooth, Cafe Escape is it! While pricey, the cheesecake is a highlight and definitely not to be missed. Eggs Benedict are a treat. I thought it was strange that they charged $3 for 30 mins of laptop time (I enjoy sitting at my computer working while I eat cheesecake).
