We were shocked with the messy overgrown gardens leading along narrow oaths in the dark to find the restaurant. We would have turned back as did not feel safe but there were 8 of us.we should have turned back

The coconut crab was awesome, as was the bouillabaisse. We enjoyed watching all the fish and crabs in the lagoon while dining. Thanks for a lovely dinner.

Food nice, but expected spectactular. Service laid back. Waterside outlook may have been a highlight in the past, but now just water. Might be different in daylight, will give it another try next trip

We dined at Villa Chaumieres on Tuesday 13 December. We had last eaten there 21 years ago whilst on a cruise to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Since that time my wife often referred to the meal of coconut crab that she had on that occassion as being one of the best meals she had eaten. To celebrate her 60th... More

The restaurant is reached from the parking area by a long path through a lovely garden and sits at the edge of the lagoon behind Port Vila. The location is quiet and very pleasant. I was with friends and we had a variety of different food, all well prepared and presented. Port Vila is known for good restaurants and I... More

We have now visited Vila Chaumieres three times on our vista to Vanuatu and we keep going back. For us it was the perfect setting for our 10 the wedding anniversary dinner great classic French cuisine fused with beautiful island seafood, awesome cocktails and great French wine. The setting is beautiful, particularly at sunset and our daughter loves to feed... More

This restaurant is situated at the end of garden path right on a lagoon. It is very romantic. The menu is quite diverse but you come here for the coconut crab. Many restaurants do not serve this specialty, but it is well worth it to try this huge crab once. It is a messy affair to eat and does require... More

Our driver (thanks Moby) recommended this place to us and it did not disappoint. This was the best lunch we had. I had the seafood spaghetti and it was yum. My husband had the NZ mussels. They were also lovely but my dish was the standout. We did get food envy when another table were served. The burgers they had... More

The food here, especially at night, is fantastic. We ate here everyday for fourteen days, both lunch and dinner, so I feel qualified to comment. The lobster and crab are delicious, and beautifully cooked and presented. The only steak I would recommend anywhere is eye fillet and the beef Wellington did not disappoint. Tender, succulent and medium rare. The salads... More
