The restaurant opens at 10am so the wife and I set off to arrive at 09:30 hoping to beat the crowd and any queues. In fact, the place was already packed but there were a few seats left for us. The food, of course, is great. Although the ginseng chicken soup is what this place is famous for, I can... More

Prices have increased again.. now its 16,000 won. Not cheap and honestly not worth the while. Chicken is small and soup is so so. Guess it is just the thing to do when you visit Korea especially when it is right next to the palace. Just don't have too high of an expectation. Probably can skip the whole experience if... More

Below what I expect .... Maybe my tastebud are for heavier taste... Place are quite small especially when they are catering mostly tourists.

Waiter not paying attention when we're tying to make our order, drinks needs multiple calling before it gets refilled. Food was okay. Overall wasn't very pleasant experience.

A great restaurant to enjoy the yummy Ginseng chicken rice soup (Samgyetang), the food and Korean style setting really adds to the whole experience. They also give you a free small Ginseng alcohol shot (which I didn;t enjoy the taste of!) and unlimited kimchi. This place is pretty popular so be prepared to order quick; it's not a location for... We were there for lunch after visiting Geongbukyung palace. Nice and authentic Korean restaurant that served excellent Ginseng Chicken Soup and Seafood Pancake. It was so good that we went back a second time to enjoy these dishes before heading back.

Definitely good to have in cold raining days! Bought my mom here this round and she gave a good rating for the black chicken ginseng soup. Easy to order with menu in English. Interior seating with those with chairs or those on the floors. If one have knees problem, can request for chair seating. On both times that I went,... More

Rated the best and recommended by friends to visit this store. If you're one who is keen for a hot Ginseng soup without the aroma and the taste of ginseng then this is the best place you could have asked for. Otherwise, I would advise against it as they only serve good kimchi and nothing else. Just overrated.

We were told it's the best, unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. The soup was bland, we did not taste the ginseng. Very disappointing, considering the fact that we made a trip down just to eat it. Not worth the hype.

The most traditional and best korean soup I had, where you can experience the amazing gingseng and its special cooking and stuffing techniques for the chicken, service was friendly and good price
