Great food, excellent service and a really nice selection of beer. I am a vegetarian but my two companions are not. We ordered an assortment of entrees and sides. Each and every one was tasty and well spiced. As a vegetarian, I ordered the veggie pie. The crust was excellent. Crusty but not too crumbly, light and flaky. The veggie... More

My wife and heard of this spot from some friends and it lived up to expectations. We came here and ordered a bit of everything it seemed like and loved it all. Even the desserts were amazing. While a bit on the pricey side, for a date night it was perfect. We have told numerous friends about this place and... More

I never knew what South African food comprised of and I was delighted. As a Brit living here I miss proper pies, and the pies here do not disappoint. They are a totally flavour of home. The homemade sausages area delight as well. It's a reasonably small restaurant so you will need to book in advance if you are going... More

Definitely a must if you are a meat lover. The grill platter is absolutely delicious. I had never had South African cuisine before and this was a great introduction to it. The staff was friendly, professional and on task even though there were a lot of people in the restaurant. They had a good local and international drink selection as... More

This is a meat lovers paradise! Even the Bunny Chow (served only Sat/Sun) is meaty. We went with another couple on a Friday night, happy we called ahead for seats. The owner greeted us and chatted before our table opened up. The place is small inside, and has a great feel to it. I had bangers and mash with the... More

Normally I'm not a big fan of spare ribs but this time I gave t a try and I was really surprised! The meat was very soft and juicy. The service was very nice, especially the owner of the restaurant. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in Seoul!

Only my third review of this place it is that good. We went back and were happy, happy, happy. I ordered the lamb combo and each cut was different tasting and delicious. Ordered a bottle of red and it was good. Look at the picture...ha ha.

Not real African... but who cares? I've been touched by their lamb dishes even though I'm such a hater of the lamb smell. And their African drinks are quite interesting.

Hi! Glad you liked the lamb! Just curious why you mentioned that the food is not African? All 3 owners, and the original chef who created many of the recipes, are South African, and the food we serve reflects the food we grew up with in South Africa. Of course, South African food has many influences from other cultures, notably... More

Initially found this restaurant here on Trip Advisor. We were looking for some thing different in the Itaewon area and went here for our anniversary dinner. We didn't have reservations but the hostess sat us at a great table on a busy night. The food was incredible. Unique, very tasty, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We both really enjoyed... More

HOWEVER, it was still very delicious. I ordered the ribs and potato wedges and I received large portions of both. In fact, I was not able to finish the ribs as I was too full. The meat was soft and tender and the wedges had the proper crunch factor. Higher priced, but that is to be expected as it is Seoul... More

Staying in Itaewon

Neighbourhood Profile
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
