very overpriced for traditional cuisines in Egypt . If you want to taste the Egyptian traditional food such as foul or falafel you don't have to go there . there are a plenty of places with much cheaper prices

I tried the zooba restaurant at city stars and I must admit that it exceeded all my expectations. The food was simply amazing, loved the foul with lemon pickles, the eggs with basterma :) the different types of falafel were out of this world The traditional bread was freshly baked and offered a twist of red coloured (with red horse... Zooba is a very well thought out restaurant / cafe based in Maadi, Zamalek and elsewhere(?). I've become a regular at the Maadi outlet on Road 9. The atmosphere is very nice inside. They had a very pleasant outdoor seating area but that's been removed for now. We are told they are seeking municipal approval to open that up again.... More

If you would like to get a quick taste of Egyptian food for a good price then this is the place. The spicy taamia sandwich is pretty good as well as the kosheri.

The concept of this place is really cool, where it serves the traditional Egyptian dishes with a twist, trying to modernize it either with their packaging or by the overall atmosphere of the place. The real problem here is that the food is REALLY overpriced, where you get nice food that consists of really cheap ingredients (as in price) and... More

Koshary is the mac and cheese of Egypt: hearty, comforting, tasty. It's the country's go-to for fast, cheap, satisfying food. So when the nouveau Egyptians take it up a notch, it's pretty great! Zooba is an Egyptian food chain. It's a bit pricey in Egyptian standards because it's clean and trendy. For instance: in most koshary places you can get... More

This place is established to fool non Egyptians who are curious about Egyptian food and willing to pay triple the normal price on a tiny sandwich. Please don't fall for the trap. That's the most annoying thing I've ever encountered at an Egyptian restaurant. A scrambled eggs sandwich delivered for 20 LE! Wth !!!!!
