Whilst the food and drinks (soft drinks only) are varied, tasty and cheap the venue itself is awful. We had to eat outside next to the kerb where you get full value for the noise and fumes of passing traffic – as well as being...More

This was right next to my hotel in Zamalek, and was the best place I went the whole time! The food is modern Egyptian, with classics like ta'amia (falafel) spiced up with coriander, jars of fresh orange-zest cheese, hot lentil soup, and colorful bread. Everything...More

Zooba is a restaurant that offers both: authentic local cuisine in a sanitary condition! It's just a must-go-to if you want to try Egyptian food. It's unique. It's beautiful. The environment aesthetically reflects the character of the place. It's just dipped in culture. I would...More

Set in trendy Zamalek, Zooba offers an upscale menu of local foods in a mellow atmosphere. Many typical Egyptian street foods get a creative twist at Zooba, including nice juice fusions (e.g. hibiscus and lemon), great fuul/sausage sandwiches, hummus in several flavors, rice pudding with...More

A trendy setting, with great explanations of different 'street food' for those who are new to Egyptian food. The Taamiya/Falafel were very good, the dips actually come in a jar which are big servings so don't go overboard when ordering. I know it's considered expensive...More

As a foreigner living in Cairo, I love Zooba. It has a great variety of street food served in a clean safe environment. You can get most of these dishes for much less at other street vendors, but you are taking a big chance. At...More

As an Egyptian, I wouldn't generally eat falafel from Zooba everyday, its is pricey compared to the normal Egyptian fast food places. But for a tourist or a foreigner that might be a great option to try all Egyptian junk food without the fear of...More

Great falafel (tatamia) and home made fries. Avoid sitting outside, it's a circus. Inside is very small and can get crowded. Take away would be the best option. Very good price especially for the quality. Good service and available parking in front.

Zooba doesn't serve any alcoholic beverages so for a good plate of Koshary and perhaps a salad or a sandwich with some fresh juice and some dessert, you can go up to 80 or 90 including service and taxes. I would recommend... More

Here at Zooba, we turn familiar Egyptian street food on its head (and dress it up a little, too). We use only the freshest local produce to create simple, flavorful, gourmet dishes. We don't just use locally-sourced products in our food; we also reclaim local materials and found objects to create an eclectic dining space that pays homage to the creative resourcefulness and colorful spirit of the Egyptian people.
