This restaurant is suffering the same problem every other tourism facility in Egypt is suffering - lack of trade. There are items listed on the menu which are unavailable, but the food is very good and like everything else in Luxor, reasonably priced. I'd be happy to eat there again.

they only have chicken kebab on the menu, but they give you a menu which is full of choice. We asked for wine and someone was sent out to get glasses. A basic in any restaurant I would have thought.

If you like things prime and proper then this is not the place for you. If you want a great view, great staff. and great prices, then it is. This place is popular with expats, locals and tourists alike. Food is good and soooo cheap. Have eaten here many times over the years and never had a gippy tummy. Hassel... More

A great little restaurant cafe with a fantastic view of Luxor Temple. Although very basic Hamees is friendly and very cheap. Pasta, pizza, sandwiches and local fare are available for around LE20 and ice-cold Stella only LE10. The food is prepared fresh so service isn't really quick but the food itself is excellent. A lovely, shady spot to relax after... More

We came across Hamees by accident when feeling hot and hungry - had a tasty snack here with a beer. Reasonably priced with views over the Luxor Temple.

Quite a nice outdoor setting we thought, until a group of people came in who we later learned wee Expats. They quickly became drunk and loud, Egytian men and boys were joining them and clearly doing business in a way that is not for kids to witness!

This doesn't look like much from the outside but we ended up eating there for 3 nights. The food was remarkably good for Egypt and the rice was exceptional. Wine was really reasonable LE50 for a bottle (plus taxes and service which adds about 22%). Service was good and friendly and hassle free.
