I have been here many times, and will continue to return every time I come to Nairobi. I have sampled many of the dishes over the years, but my favourites are the tilapia stew and brown ugali. The chapatis are sometimes undercooked (raw on one occasion) but when they are done well, they are spot on! A great place to... More

Excellent local food. You order first and can be a little confusing. What we did was to look at the food first and then order as suggested by a very helpful and nice server. We got the brown ugali, the spinach, chapati, goat stew and while fried fish. It was a lot of food but all great particularly as some... More

Doesn't look like much from the road, but head upstairs for a great music spot. One side is a restaurant/bar where you can order traditional fares like ugali, rice/beans, greens, meats, fish, even matooke sometimes for reasonable prices. Normal beer and liquor selection. On the other side is the live music, dancing picks up by 10. This is a band... More

A bit chaotic and not a place I would have gone to without locals taking me. Food ok but again I needed the help of locals to work out what everything was.

It is extremely busy and very popular, once you have been there you will know why. Generally you have to select from the buffet, after we got an in depth explanation as to the dishes, they were happy to serve us at the table.

It is a place to eat local foods and fish is a delicacy here with traditional vegetables. The Tilapia fish is freshly served with maize meal and it is quite tasty. It is a clean and easy to access if one is already in the city centre.

Work visit and enjoyed, good atmosphere and food was OK. Very authentic and live music on the night we visited. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, especially if visiting from Europe etc. but I thought it was decent.

Great place to go to sample various Kenyan dishes. The staff was very helpful and explained what everything was before we ordered. I had coconut fish with ugali and my friends had the chicken stew and dry beef. Really tasty and reasonably priced.

After arriving in the city of Nairobi, our friend recommended this place and yes he was right. This place have varieties of African foods and i loved the dried and cooked meet with Ugali.
