During our China trip in September 2016 we had 2 dinners in this restaurant. It is situated in busy shopping area. You go to 6th floor by elevator. There is large open terrace infront of restaurant. It was typical indian buffet having soup.starters, paneer, dal, mix veg, biryani, various types of bread,2 desserts. Plenty of soft drinks. Food was really delicious. Food quality, quantity was... More

I love Indian food, and have lived near this restaurant in Beijing for 5 years. They also deliver to my house and speak fluent English, which is very convenient. I've had food delivered from this restaurant 3-4 times over the years, and each time had diarrhea the next day. My wife who also ate the same food, did not have... More

I have ordered delivery from Ganges twice now. While the food is quite decent (they have very unique food and if you're craving naan and nice chicken, the options in Haidian certainly are limited), it is extremely over priced. The quantity of food is no different from any other restaurant in China, nor are the ingredients for the most part,... More

Decent traditional Northern Indian and tandoori cuisine but prefunctory, almost arguementative, service. If you make the mistake of ordering the whole meal, be prepared to be served dishes at random. We got the main curries first but no bread or rice. The appetizers showed up much later. the waiter began arguing with us about why they always serve in whatever... More

It was some of I had not had Indian food for over 2 days and we decided we will go for Indian dinner and the restaurant selected was the Ganges - Haidian district branch. We were welcomed by Indian manager and were seated. There was some free starter with mint chutney served and we loved by the time we finalised... More

I've been coming to the wudaokou branch of Ganges every few months for 3 years now, and every prior visit had been satisfying. However, I was extremely disappointed by my visit last night. From the moment we walked in to door, it was it easy to feel something was amiss. There were two waitstaff waiting by the door who ignored... More

Huge variety, maybe even too many choices. Many veggie options. I usually get Palak paneer in Indian restaurants, and the one here was one of the better ones. The Dahl mackni was mediocre. The service was fast, although it was sometimes hard to hail the waiter in a semi-final restaurant. The restaurant is in the U-Center which is full of... More

Ganges has many locations in Beijing. They are a better than average representative of Indian food abroad with great curries, masala, butter chicken, nan, etc. The restaurants always have an Indian manager on post to help out with typical misunderstandings ( not only language ) that often happen between Mainland Chinese staff and the many foreigners who flock here. This... More

Situated at the top of a shopping centre, so not the easiest to find......good range of Indian staples - in fact a huge menu. Tasted pretty much like Indian food does in the UK, which was fine by me. Chicken dopiaza was excellent and was the chicken tikka, pakoras, naan etc. Worked well with the Tsingtao lager. My only criticism... More
