I came here on purpose for the snake soup and was not dissatisfied! The soup is great! I just pity I did not have more time to taste the other options...

Tradition snake soup is so good especially when weather is getting cold, a small bowl of snake soup(HKD43.00) should warm you up, decor is old, service ok, food is very good, must try if you like to try something different

I became Shia Wong Hip usual customer since 2013. When I knew snake is good to elders health, I arranged snake banquet to my father-in-law and elderly friends every year. From the Chinese traditional medicine point of view, snake is good for health, keep warm, easy to digest and even easy to egest. Shia Wong Hip's snake soup is famous.... More

We went along to Shia Wong Hip as part of a 20 person banquet and very much enjoyed the offering. The snake soup is very rich and contained lots of tender meat, and was just delicious. The deep fried snake balls were also very good, as was the gecko soup. The experience is clearly not for everyone, and frankly I... More

I've tried the deep fried snake and it was sooo tasty. I've also bought a snake's bile wine. Very good. This place is highly recommended expecially for western tourists that want to try exotic tastes.

My friend and I came here for a late lunch during our day of visiting Sham Shui Po. There were autographed photos of celebrities that had eaten at this restaurant on display. We didn’t have to wait for a seat but we had to share a table with a couple of other diners. Menu was all in Chinese with limited... More

This shop may not be as famous as Ser Wang Fen. However, it serves the same kind of snake soup that you will expect from a typical HK stall like Shia Wang Hip. It is located in an suburban neighbourhood. The rental is lower and therefore you could expect cheaper feast. Take exit A from MTR Sham Shui Po station... More

Chau Ka-Ling is Hong Kong's only "snake queen." A second generation restauranteur, Chow has been bitten, nearly died, but continued the trade as a licensed snake catcher and live snake manager. Yes, live snakes. Unlike most snake restaurants, where the reptilian beauties are usually kept far away, here they are in carefully labelled drawers like an old-fashioned Chinese apothecary. A... While shopping in the area, I spoted this food store selling snake soup, snake- chicken soup, fresh snake gallbladder etc. A bowl of snake soup at forty odd dollars which is relatively cheap so I ordered one small bowl and a lot of snake meat of various size mixed with other ingredients which I could not recognised as they were...
