We went for the lunch menu no translated in English. Once we chose the waitress's came and told us what we ordered. It was great. 46HK$ and you feel local... Probably our new canteen.

Comfort food like what my granny used to cook at home done skillfully and taste-wise is well balanced. No English menu. Had a beef egg tomato with white rice for HK$45 with tea/coffee. Everyday home cook standard, nothing lavish & affordable.

I'm staying in the Butterfly hotel right across the street from Shek Kee. The sign is only in Chinese but you can see the Michelin Rating and Trip Advisor signs in the window. I tried this resto last year and liked it. This time I had the Shrimp Satay with Vermicelli in Hot Pot. The flavour was really awesome! I... More

Did not live up to my expectations considering my work mate was raving so highly about this place that he took me and another mate too. The duck was alright and probably the best, but the fish was a bit too bony and way too small. Claypot rice was extremely spicy, yam desert was average. Service was slow and the... More

From the outside, if you do not read Chinese, it is difficult to know what kind of food is served. However, a Chinese friend who reads Chinese said that it was the claypot rice that was the speciality. So we tried the minced meat & Chinese sausage with pork ribs rice. Both nicely done and tasty, but the one with... More

Worst service ever bar none regardless of price. Both in attitude and speed. Also a plate of so called house special salted chicken at the cost of $198.00 was nothing but skin, bones and neck. A real ripped off.

We ordered what is popular-had chilli peppered frog legs n pan fried cuttle fish w a side of veggies - expensive for the lack of woah. We had amazing crock pot rice and chilli pepper squid at Temple St the night before

Shek Kee apparently won Michelin for the last four years. Not crowded for a week night dinner. Service was passable but definitely friendlier to the regulars. Food was fresh, tasty, but heavy on salt. Not cheap either.

I've passed by this restaurant a number of times as its across the street from the Butterfly Victoria hotel but I couldn't figure out which type of cuisine it offered as it wasn't obvious from the outside. Always seemed relatively busy. I found a review and sounded good. I tried the salt and pepper squid with some fried noodles. It... More

The total price was 145 and only was one dish and to small cups of rice. I had the "fried" squid but wasn't really fried more like steam or grilled and it was salty. They are quite nice even tho no one spoke English to me.
