We had always walked past on the way to my wife's syebrow place at Lynhurst Terrace, so decided to pop in for a bite on a Saturday afternoon. The place is tiny, with about 5-6 seating groups, and filled with little touches of Americana. The burgers were pretty good - juicy patties on buttered buns - though tiny for the... More

It's a small place with about 4-5 tables and on the corner of the streets with a staircase for the entrance. I ordered a burger, fries and chicken wings. The burger was good but small. The garlic fries was good and the chicken wings wasn't worth its price. It was a little expensive and it was just regular chicken wings... More

Shake'em Buns is a well thought out, cute little 'shack'. There are three booths and a couple of tall tables. The burgers each have witty names and there is enough choice between beef, chicken, fish and veggies for all tastes. The burgers are made to order. The bun is soft, the chicken is juicy, not fatty at all. My only... More

Going here seems be be a tradition for my son and I after his orthodontist appointments. Usually arrive as they are opening at 1130. Very friendly and make very good food. Son usually gets a burger and shake combo. Burgers usually come medium well but are very juicy and not greasy. Fries come very hot and crispy! Think we have... More

Had the best veggie burger here. Good ambiance, was less crowded, good location. Very small place, clean and tidy as well. Burger was cooked after the order, it was fresh and tasty.

Wandered past at 7pm on a Wednesday night whilst I was getting desperate for dinner as I hadn't eaten since 12pm that day and only had two slices of bread to keep me going. It's Americana cute, cheeky jokes here and there on signs around the front and inside, so it seemed decent enough. I checked TripAdvisor reviews before considering... More

This inconspicuous little burger joint with only a few tables might not look inviting for passers by. But don't make the mistake of not going in, or you might miss out on a great burger experience. So juicy and tasty! Only negative thing was they didn't have shakes, I didn't quite understand if they were out or if they'd never... More

We were tired. Teenage kids were having a meltdown! It was past 10 PM. This place hit the spot. Tiny. Delicious burgers. The buns heated on a bittered pan! Beer was cold. Meltdowns ended and we went back to the hotel happy and satisfied

It is located in Central near LKF area. Shake'em Bun is one of the best burger restaurant in Hong Kong, Mushroom's Lovers is one of highlight.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
