The view was excellent and the setting refined here. But the food was lacking in flavor and greasy. Kale with ginger had little ginger. Grouper was slimy and had little taste and overcooked. We had beef and noodles and it had no taste. All of...us thought the food was bland. Worse than this the service was anything but attentive. The waiter disappeared halfway through the meal and never returned. Honestly has much better food and service at restaurants many times at a fraction of the price. A Michelin star this was not.More

The standout dishes were the mouthwatering char siu and the sublime Peking duck, which showcased the kitchen's mastery of traditional Chinese cooking techniques. While the prices may be on the higher end, the impeccable service, elegant interior design, and superior food quality make this establishment...well worth the splurge for a special occasion. The attentive staff were knowledgeable and accommodating, guiding us through the menu and ensuring our every need was met. Overall, this restaurant is a true gem for those seeking an extraordinary Chinese dining experience. Though the cost may be prohibitive for frequent visits, the sheer quality of the food and service make it a worthwhile indulgence. I highly recommend trying the char siu and Peking duck - your taste buds will thank you.More

Absolutely loved our lunch at Man Wah - the gorgeous blue/gold decor with the perfect art to accompany made the setting along with beautiful flatware and plate ware presentation. Incredible views of the bay only enhanced the meal. Thoughtful juxtaposition of textures (crunch of the...suckling pig) and menu crafting (elevated strawberry sago bringing the HK dish up a notch while remaining nostalgic) combined with attentive service (thank you Adrian!) will be remembered fondly by both tongue and mind. Located in the eloquent Mandarin Oriental, an absolute must for your HK visit!More

Professional and attentive fine dining service, delicious food, and beautiful scenery make Man Wah exceptional! The beautiful presentation also greatly increased our appetite, one of the most noteworthy was a steamed and sautéed egg, a presentation that really stood out to us, the tender egg...whites as a base, with a little green spinach soup on the top, and koi-like dumplings flavoured with morel mushroom and cod fish. As well as the pork loin, it is the best char siu I‘ve had in Hong Kong so far. How can you go wrong with a restaurant where quality and flavour go hand in hand! Lastly, just want to highlight 3 staffs who are Arthur, Vicky and German, their detail explanation of each dishes and carefully service greatly enhanced our dining experience. It also demonstrate how professional and effective employee training and what a Michelin one-star fine dining restaurant should be.More

Amazing view, excellent service and the food was sublime. What’s not to love? Time-honoured Cantonese cuisine, with the option of a modern twist, and a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour. If you are looking for a prestige chinese restaurant in town. Man Wah is your way to go, having dinner couple months ago and the dishes is getting even better this time, thanks to Chef Wong and Chef Yiu's leadership I believe. Food quality here...never fails you. Chef Wong and Chef Yiu's creativity is exceptional. They always able to use seasonal ingredients to craft unique dishes by using his incomparable skill and techniques inherited by generations. In addition, service here is attentive. Server German do have good eyes on different tables and prompt actions were taken accordingly. Lastly, just want to highlight 2 more staff, Andrew and Marco for their detail explanation of every single dishes. It shows the restaurant shares a good training practice for staffs which equips them with fruitful product knowledge. They even able to show us the picture of a scene, a pond with koi, which inspired Chef of a dish. Its a treasurable asset for a restaurant which encounters curious guest like us, someone who loves to know more and appreciate about the history behind each dishes and heritage of chinese cuisine.More

Came here to dine with friends, and the whole experience was very pleasant and welcomed. Our waiter, German, was very professional and friendly. We really enjoyed their special made XO sauce, and German noticed it. During the whole dining experience, he kept refilling the sauce...for us, in which we never asked for it. Other than his food knowledge for each dishes, his service and caring about our needs were perfect. He really exceeds our expectations and words can’t really express how well he did. On the other hand, the food was wonderful as well. Every dish has its own unique taste and you can’t really find it elsewhere. Food was great, but German’s service was the most memorable experience I had for this meal. He really deserves some acknowledgments.More
