Excellent food, great Peking duck, superb service. Good views. The lighting to go to the rest rooms needs improving - very dark and hard to see. Been there many times. Highly recommend it

Hong Kong has quite the good scene but we chose to come here, with the help of TripAdvisor. You must put a CC down for reservation and there is a charge if you no show. We walked in and it was intimate like maybe 12 tables total and everyone was full. It was quiet and romantic inside with a killer... More

For the life of me, I can't understand that this restaurant is not better rated. We absolutely loved it. From the over-loaded decor to the cool cocktail bar in front of the restaurant. The food, service and ambiance was sublime. Peking duck at it's westernised finest. The waiters were so accommodating and the environment was intimate and opulent. Was really... More

Man Wah is a first rate restaurant with great views to match the cuisine. The service is first class as the staff does everything possible to make your visit a special experience. The Peking duck is terrific and presented in a most professional manner. The wine list is extensive and covers every top notch wine region in the world.

While we are not hesitant to spend for great meal and hotel experiences, we found Man Wah to be extremely expensive relative to the food experience. Our tab was nearly US$400 for 2, although that did include 3 (total) glasses of wine. The food was good, but not great. It wasn't as good as any of our dining experiences at... More

Man Wah is supposed to represent the epitome of fine Cantonese dining, but our experience was disappointing, mainly because the exorbitant prices are not in line with the quality of the food. If you are not on an expense account, beware! Our meal started out on a very promising note. We had the deep fried codfish appetizer, which was excellent,... More

First class service with attentive waiters and nice little extras like hand cloths. But it is the food that draws you and it does not disappoint. They offer several set menus and full a la carte , with some very exotic dishes, but we really went there for the Peking Duck which is always superbly done. We like the two... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
