The Phoenix Bar & Kitchen is a hidden gem of a pub near the top of the mid-level escalator that serves good pub fare and a decent beer or wine. Frequented by many ex-pats in the area.

This is a bar with one open wall facing the escalator. The entrance is often crowded with smokers whose noxious reek pervades the whole place, covering your food and your clothes. The beer selection is very limited - only 4 or 5 selections on tap.
