The restaurant is based on the theme of a German Beer hall and is decorated accordingly. The menu is full of hearty German meat dishes with pork, veal and delicious sausages. Of course meals also come with sauerkraut and there are plenty of German beers available to help wash all that food down. My favourite is the pork knuckle and... More

Two of us dined upon our arrival most of the tables where reserved so we were seated near the entrance but we were eventually moved by the window I had a glass of German wine ( very poor measure like the wine was being rationed !) My main course was the German sausage selection my colleague had the ham hock... More

The buffet ($105) started at noon. The salad bar had more than 10 varieties of oriental and western style salad. There were also several assorted cold cuts, sausages, spare ribs, fried chicken, vegetable in curry, assorted breads, smoked fish, quiche, pizza and marinated salad. All in all, there were more than 20 kinds of food in the salad bar. Majority... More

We had a meal here around 5pm awaiting out transfer back to the airport. It was a little quiet and short of atmosphere. Food and drink were fine, but difficult to attract attention of waitress more than once.

A nice place to have informal meetings. The salad buffet alone was quite a good choice for those who have a small stomach. I had a lamb stew as well, which was good enough. We sat for a few hours to go through some documents without being disturbed by the staff, which was really appreciated, especially in that area of... More

I came here for lunch with business associates on a weekday. They have a 'buffet' with appetisers and you can order a main on top of it. Food is really average. If you come here, I think it's best come here in the evening, tried their beer and German food.

Went for a New Year's Eve celebration with my family, but omg turned out to be the worst New Year's Eve we've had! Our festive spirit was completely destroyed by the restaurant staffs, we were going to count down at the restaurant and have a few drinks there, but we left early as they literally killed off all our mood.... Okay, the positives first. Food is very good quality/portions and at a fair price. Drinks list is wide/varied and their Guinness is not Draught Guinness but from a surged can - all fine. First problem with this place is the outside seating. There are literally 3 banks/rows of tables/chairs and the first two rows are under cover - but the... More

Location is great and outside view is preferred. They have nicely done the outside seating area which matches the busy location. Happy hours rates are awesome. They have those country beers which tastes great.

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
