Went there with my wife and don't know how to speak Mandarin or Cantonese. When this was made clear the waitress wasn't happy at all. Went to find another one who spoke some English to take care of us. We ordered our food and it took a while before anything came. First dish (Honey pork) came 15 minutes after we... More

Congested environment. Food fresh and minimal msg. Garoupa fillet fresh but so tiny portion. Regular soup very nice. Pricey. Quite a good experience.

Went for dinner yesterday. Very clean and attractive dining room, clearly highly appreciated by the locals. Had some difficulty communicating wishes since we didn´t speak Chinese, but things were well managed. Extremely good raw materials and cooking. Go there.

We asked our hotel concierge for an authentic Chinese restaurant within walking distance from our hotel and he recommended the Lei Garden. On arrival we were taken to the main dining room and appeared to be the only Westerners in a crowded but bright dining room. Lots of private dining seemed to be available too. Apart from some language difficulties,... More

Authentic Chinese cuisine and good Dim Sum variety. Good value for money. Definitely a recommendation.

We had dimsum and dinner here a few times, and the food has always been excellent. Subtle taste relies on fresh and carefully selected ingredients, the essence of Cantonese food, and Lei Garden delivers at the high end of this cuisine. This branch of Lei Garden is not as high-end as the one in the IFC, but still excellent. The... More

The exterior of the restaurant looks a little like a shop front so it could be off putting, but up stairs is very nice, though the table lay out gives a canteen feel. Having said that the food was excellent and very tasty. The wine selection reasonable and the service good. It is true that the understanding of English was... More

We almost decided against going here because it looked like we were walking into some sort of office complete with receptionist! The staff were friendly-ish, menus were available in English so there was a lot of pointing etc. Very busy place and the food was very nice. Recommended by the hotel we were staying at nearby.

Six work colleagues and I came to Lei Garden for lunch. Located in Causeway Bay it's not easy to find. Crowded with locals and I soon found it why. The vegetables were crisp and well seasoned, the dim sum and fried rice delicious and even the jelly fish had a nice flavor and texture! Jasmine tea capped of a delicious... More
