Went to this Thai restaurant after reading other Tripadvisor reviews. Was not disappointed at all. The food was very tasty and the beer was nice and cold. We were seated upstairs and it was nice to escape the crowds for a while. Definitely recommend.

I travel to thailand quite a bit and love the foods and flavors of the country and actually cook some pretty decent Thai foods myself. If your looking for a pretty close representation of Thai flavors and food this is a great spot to sit and eat. The cook is Authentic Thai living in Hk many years and married to... More

I was very surprised that this restaurant only had 3 trip advisor reviews. Why is this ? The restaurant is just around the corner from the night market, is clean and serves authentic thai food and cold beer at good prices. I had a tasty papaya salad and a chicken green curry cooked to my specific request (thai spicy) this... More

My boyfriend and I are staying at the Eaton hotel in Kowloon so it was just a 10-min. walk to this fabulous eatery. It's a simple family owned place, with warm friendly staff. The best part was the AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD and cheap beer. I'm a big fan of Tom Yum soup and was not disappointed. The food was affordable.... More

Shau Shau Shau is definitely not a five star restaurant but it is one of those typical eateries in Hong Kong with which you simply fall in love. The food is yummy, the service is well...hong kong ish... Simply adore this place. Love their Tom Yum Soup.

We found this place while going to temple street market. Well worth while when in the area. They are very friendly and the food is very good. They have signha beer and sleek Thai.

Thank Darin L

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
