Bright room, nice decor, good (but not excellent) view of the harbour. Very quiet when we (a British couple) visited at 12:30 on a Tuesday, but about a dozen floor staff seemed to be buzzing about looking for something to do and standing too close to the table. The atmosphere felt rather pretentious. We ordered the BBQ pork buns which... More

This is a wonderful find for vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians! The food is tasty and the service is quick. There is also a branch in Shatin in the New Territories. Really worthwhile -- I will be returning!

It can get tricky to find vegetarian or vegan food in HK as most dishes are based on meat, even when a vegetable stock would clearly do instead. That's where Kung Tak Lam's comparative advantage lies. Their menu is purely vegetarian (and vegan friendly). They do serve a lot of of mock meat dishes, which we didn't try, but the... More

My cousin who lives in Hong Kong found this restaurant for me. The restaurant name indicates " Vegetarian" I believe this is the vegetarian/vegan restaurant . I could not read all the dishes listed on the menu but the foods that we ordered were vegan dishes.Since it is difficult to find vegan restaurants in Hong Kong, I recommend you to... More

Well, the menu quite pricey, due to its location. We were not really enjoy the vegetarian food. Do alert a small peanut serves as a appetizer will cost HKD12.

This place is within 10 mins walking from the Star Ferry terminal. Excellent food, great service and good price with an incredible view of the harbor. Must try for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Since the restaurant is on the 7th floor the view of the CBD area opposite it amazing! The staff are attentive & courteous which is quite rare for Hong Kong eateries. And the food is very well prepared and served.

This an excellent vegetarian restaurant in Shatin area with Shanghainese cuisine. My host ordered many dishes and they were all very good. It is located on the 7th floor of a very large mall and the ambience is good. Highly recommended for vegetarians.

Hong Kong gets tough on you if you are a vegetarian. Kung Tak Lam is a rare find. Vegetarian and on top of it Chinese, that too in Hong Kong - It doesn't get more unbelievable than this. The ambiance is so green and refreshing, its almost as if your world has been painted by nature. Our first time there,... More
