My HK friends invite me to Monteverdi. It's small trattoria. I think their strength point is Homemade. Maybe maximum is around 20 people. But they offer typical country home dish in Italy. Example polenta l, It's typical North Italian foods. And they have good Italian wines varieties.

After reading a positive review in Tripadvisor I went there with a colleague of mine for dinner. We were positively impressed. The Italian Owner and his Chinese wife took persoanly care of us. We ordered two starters and a main cours to share plus a bottle of Italian Red from the supstantial wine list. All the food was autentically Italian... More

Excellent - nothing short of excellent. The primary menu is diverse and the specials are recipes truly from the countrysides of Italy. The wine list is extensive and well-matched to the food. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual; you can chat with the owners or have your privacy. The price, for wine and food, is just right as well. An... More

The High Street of Sai Ying Pun and the surrounding streets have been transformed – for the better - by the appearance of many new restaurants. A slight drawback is that some of them are owned by chains and tend to cater for young people who like loud pop music. Finding a quiet, family-run place where one can have a... More

As an italian living in Hong Kong, I absolutely reccomend this place. I felt true italian flavours and I felt very satisfied. By the way: do not miss the homemade gnocchi, they are so delicious!

I've been to this restaurant with some friends of mine after a month away from Italy and it was exactly as if I had been at my home. The dishes taste super good and they have the typical Italian taste. The Gnocchi were amazing and the meat also. The wine, as the food, comes directly from Italy and you can... More

I've been here three times in the past few years. Twice in the main restaurant and once in the 'deli' smaller cafe area. The smaller area has about 5 tables but the ones near the back are near the toilet and you can definitely smell it! So either sit in the main area or near the door of the smaller... More

The products are fresh, the food cooked home-style, the welcoming so warm. It is like a small Italian feel in the heart of Hong Kong. Delightful!

Really average, bland food. And pricey for the portions or quality. And I highly question their hygiene practices as well, based on our visit.......

We stayed in Hong Kong for one night only and after having spent many weeks in China we were quite desperate for a really authentic, decent Italian dinner. As it was raining cats and dogs that night, we didn't want to go too far from our hotel in Sai Ying Pun. Well, we did find the Monteverdi online and decided... More
