This place is terrible! Came in with high expectations for a birthday dinner. We ordered a couple appetisers first to get started. Thank god we didn't order any mains yet. The chicken wings were tasteless. The pork belly skewer was way too sweet. And the...More

On my son’s 10 anniversary he asked me to visit a “hidden restaurant” so Mrs Pound was THE one to go! Nice surprisingly place! Got off the car and looked around looking for the “stamp shop” but there weren’t any! Another surprise...! Nice change to...More

Just finding the oh so discreet entrances can be an adventure,it’s easy to walk straight past Mrs. Pound, hidden behind a Chinese stamp shop. The menu is as playful as the decor and serves Asian street food.Designed in a 1960’s style represent showgirl glamour.

This cool little hipster place in HK is mainly memorable because of the speak easy theme (from outside it looks like a key-cutting shop, and the door only opens once a 'secret' button has been pressed). Once inside it has the usual hipster-bar fare; craft...More

They really don’t want you to find this place - a secret button, a wall that slides away to reveal a retro bar that is a wonderful place to be. Great staff, food that is delish. Nothing to fault.

The bar itself is cool and they have a unique menu. It’s in SYP so off the beaten path for average tourist, but would highly recommend a visit for a drink if you’re in the neighborhood

I read about this in Qantas Traveler blog and so glad that I went. It look a little while to find, and with the help of a local, I found this gem. The food was great and the atmosphere was as good.

Description
Mrs.Pound had a lustrous career as a burlesque dancer in the 1950s, with a charismatic charm and exotic features that brought fame and admiration from anyone who saw her. She traveled the world on the arms of different suitors and experienced flavours from across the globe, but at the height of her popularity mysteriously disappeared from the public eye. Rumour has it she had run away with her true lover - Mr. Ming was a conservative, reserved, and wealthy gentleman from Hong Kong. His kindness won the heart of Mrs. Pound, and he gave her his favourite stamp shop to turn into her personal domain. To this day he keeps the shopfront to hide Mrs. Pound from his family and to keep her location a secret.
