I have been dining with Hiro San for some years. I have to say, the quality of this restaurant fluctuates quite a bit in past two years. The time I was there 3 months ago, it was lovely. Everything was fresh and nicely executed. I was there again a week ago, it was ok but not great. Hit and miss.... More

Had dinner here in November 2015 and will definitely come back ... and not only once. Ideal service, quite, high class. The Sashimi is one of the best I've every experienced. The Hiro Japanese Restaurant in Hong Kong offers a quality, which meets the expectations of experts, when it comes to authentic Japanese cuisine.

Sushi Hiro is one of my favor restaurant in Hong Kong. Sashimi is really fresh and tasty. Especially Tuna's quality is so great. I like to taste Japanese Sake with Akami Sashimi (Tuna) and ToroTaku & AnaKyu roll.

Would definitely recommend the sushi at Hiro. Great service and fresh fish. Not intuitive to find (above the Apple Store). Spent about hk$ 600 for the top sushi menu, with appetizer and green tea ice cream. I would return

Knowing that this was going to be on the dear side, 3 of us came here for a 'light' dinner. Ambiance and service was good but nothing exceptional. We decided to go for just a piece each of the scallop, otoro and unagi sushi as well as a miso black cod. One of us also had a basic miso soup.... More

Had the set menu - was a little bit too much food overall but the quality was great, especially the tuna. Particular enjoyed the seasonal soup and the fatty tuna sushi. Frankly it is a little bit overpriced for what it is when you compare against some of the other places Hong Kong has to offer in the same price... More

First of all, call for reservation. Like any other restaurants in Hong Kong, it's small, so make a call and reserve your table. Dishes were very good. I ordered chirashi sushi with the biggest slices of tuna and salmon I have ever had. Husband opted for a sushi set. We both came home with very happy souls and burgeoning tummies.

Sushi Hiro used to be one of my favorite Japanese restaurant in HK. But their quality of food is getting wrost. The portion as well as quality of lunch set is smaller and nit as goid as before. I guess they try not to raise the price so give up quality.

The chef does know how to make real sushi and the food is genuine. However, if someone has never been to Japan and has not got any exposure to the real sushi, then, this place may not be appreciated. The price is not cheap. So if you are Gaijin and you want to eat cheap sushi, then, do not visit... More

We decided to give a traditional sushi place a try vs Nobu. While everything was fresh - we prefer Nobu. The cost was just about the same - expensive! If your a Western person we suggest Nobu - but it seems Japanese prefer this place!
