Great place to meet friends for lunch. Lunch buffet with great variety of Mediterranean foods & salads. Can also order a main of meat or seafood.

This is a pleasant restaurant offering a range of food including a buffet and most seats have good views iover the harbour but the prices were far to high for what was offered. This is perhaps a feature of what is happening in Hong Kong but for a simple pizza and salad the cost was way over the top.

The mushroom risotto used to be a best of. Now, the recipe changed (probably so did the chef) for bad. The risotto has no cheese and no white wine. Consequently, it is just sone kind of boiled rice with a roping of added mushrooms. Obviously, the chef has no clue of what a risotto is.

If you want good italian food, do not go here. Filled with westerners (recruiter types), pretentious and mediocre food at best.

the food is simple, a tad pricey but there r not many places in HK u can enjoy a meal outdoors ( in cool weather ) n feel relax enough to linger with your coffee. the service was meticulous although food was slow in arriving. we ordered the seafood/aubergine platter - it was huge quite tasty, the lamb chops were... Been to isola a couple of times over the past 4 years. I remember first time I was genuinely happy with it. Good food and atmosphere. Last two recent visits, Nov and Dec 2106, I must say it didn't leave up to the bill you get at the end... Music too loud to enjoy, and most importantly the food I... More

The views of Hong Kong harbour are brilliant particularly at night and there are more than sufficient heaters in winter. The windchill can be a factor. The service is patchy with some very very good staff and some average. The signature pastas are expensive and frankly overrated. If I return, it will be to have the pizzas.

Went to this Isola on a whim, last minute catch up with a friend. The setting is very nice. I had the veal ravioli which was very good, my friend had a truffle pasta that she loved. We shared a salmon pizza which was just ok. The dinner was fine, my only complaint was that we were politely rushed through... More

Went here with friends the other night views are amazing and as it was warm we sat outside, that's where all the great bits stop. As the food was quite pricey I ordered a pizza. I would say as pizzas go it was below par and not what I expected. One thing positive was the beer was ice cold but... More

First, we go to restaurants to eat and not only for the view (i think TA should change a bit its rules for comments in order to make the difference). Pizzas are really poorly made with chapati bread instead of traditional pizza. Pastas are ok but so small portions. Prices are really excessive and service is kind but so poor.

Thank JS A

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
