We arrived when they were getting ready for a function, and they put us outside at the back, without any view down to Hong Kong at all, and it was freezing cold. Our view was basically the shopping centre at the Peak. Food was average, very little available gluten free (not sure they understood that request) and overpriced. We were... More

Enjoyed eating lunch at this restaurant after exploring The Peak - very nice and unusual sharing seafood platter for lunch with a lovely Margaret River Chardonnay to wash it down. We didn't book but I guess the outdoors area gets quite busy on nice warm days in Hong Kong (so most of the time!) - we went on a Wednesday... More

The best views anywhere in Hong Kong. The. Eat way to access the Peak lookout is by the 'Peak Tram' from Central district. For the biggest impact or 'most interesting' journey, plan to arrive at the Peak late afternoon to see the views by day and then witness the transition of the view through sunset to the spectacular view of... We visited the Peak Lookout for some beers and bar food after journeying up the peak. The views are obviously stunning and it was refreshing to have sight of the opposite side of the island after the tourist-filled Victoria harbour observatories. The menu was varied (although mostly Western rather than the traditional Chinese fare we hoped to sample) and the... More

When In Hong Kong this is something you must do, especially on a clear day. The smog can limit the view but it's still breathtaking! We visited in January which was still fairly warm, however, when visiting the peak take a jumper and warm coat, it's freezing! Don't forget to visit the section where you take part in the 3D... Decided on this restaurant as recommended by my cousin, trying our luck without any booking and lucky to get a table. Food is good and tasty and they take note of small details in dining. Order a mini pizza for kids and it was just a plain looking pizza, should make it more appealing for kids. Ambience wise, it is... More

Went for brunch on a Sunday with friends and babies. Whilst the venue is nice enough - on a nice day there is a great outside seating with view over the south of the island - and service was ok, the food wasn't. I was disappointed as: a) very little brunch style food available - no scrambled eggs or pancakes... More

We spent a few hours at The Peak and pre-booked to eat here. As the Peak is not an all-day place we moved our dinner booking forward without an issue. The menu is varied; we both chose Thai and the food was lovely. Wine is very expensive in Hong Kong so we had a glass of white and a cocktail,... More

The view is outstanding, if you go on a clear day and don't have smog impacting your view. Earlier in the day is better in our experience, before the smog returns to the city. Also, if you get a Big Bus ticket or other ticket that can help you skip the line on clear days, you'll save lots of time.... More

Description
Situated above the city overlooking Pokfulam Country Park and the South China Sea, The Peak Lookout is a Hong Kong landmark with unique character. The restaurant, having served generations of patrons including both locals and visitors, offers fine food within an elegant heritage house seeped in rich history. This Grade II historic building, typifying 'East meets West' architecture, first began offering light refreshments in 1947 and continues to serve a wide range of international dishes of exceptional quality. The Peak Lookout recently reopened its doors following a stylish redesign, which includes the introduction of a contemporary raised terrace, ensuring a relaxed ambience ideal for al fresco dining. The restaurant's stunning location and natural surroundings means it offers guests a different experience each visit, depending on the time of year.
