At our last trip to Hong Kong we went twice to Agehan as they have amazing Tempura. You can get all other Japanese food as well, but we loved the Tempura. We went for lunch and dinner. At lunch the menu is more restricted but you get very good lunch deals, the evening card is wider but your dinner can... More

Had lunch with a few friends. The lunch menu has a few choices but offered good varieties. The service is great and the seating is comfortable. The food came quite prompt and is delicious. This is not a big restaurant so reservation is a must. There are quite a number of Japanese here so food must be quite authentic. Will... More

This is our go-to place in the Central area when we have a craving for Japanese food, are feeling lazy, and haven't made a booking elsewhere. The reason we keep going back is that you get decent food for the money (at least compared to other restaurants in Central). There really isn't any atmosphere or ambiance to speak of, and... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
