First chosen restaurant in HK, after my return to this city . The place is quite traditional looking, the service extreme accurate and precise - in the usual top chinese culture. We asked Chef's advices, and we have been promplty satisfied especially food requested was quite particular (my wife did not want pork - just fish and seafood) The result... More

Went to the restaurant on our last day in HK and we were so glad we did not miss it. From the doorman, the receptionists, the waiters, everyone paid attention to us as if we were part of the family. The food is outstanding and we got a lot of help from the head waiter who was in charge of... More

The restaurant is very well-lit, large, round white cloth tables like most up-scale cantonese restaurants. The service is speedy and formal. We went for dim-sum when they opened at 11, without a reservation. Food wise everything was very very good. We had Cha siu bao, Siu mai and har gow. They have tons of local delicacies for you to try;... More

After reading a lot about this restaurant we came here with great expectations. To say the least we were very disappointed. I now understand why this restsurant is formar michelín star holder. Very expensive comparing prices to quality of food and service. The service was BAD one of the servers was very impatient all in all unprofessional. The quality of... More

As usual, the special sharksfin dumpling in soup did not disappoint - you can actually see the crabmeat and fins! And it tasted simply delicious. Other dimsums were also well made with the exception of the har kow which was way below the standard of the other dimsums here. The siew mai, harm sui kok, char siew and pork belly... More

Hong Kong has great restaurants from around the world, but if you want real Cantonese style where Westerners are at a premium, this is the place. They are famous for their roasted chicken but on the night we were there they had run out, but substituted the salt chicken that was equal to the roasted chicken. The crab in pastry... More

A family friend and her husband treated me, my niece and her Thai husband to this place for lunch on Jan 1 New Year's Day. The restaurant was fully booked. Their roasted chicken was nice. Their fried white sole fish was so yummy that we had to have an extra plate ordered. One of their best dishes was the half... More

This restaurant was booked through our hotel concierge based on their recommendation. We did see they had mixed reviews but the restaurant site suggested they had a Michelin star so we assumed they couldn't be too bad. Big mistake. Be aware that this place has a main dining room, and several other rooms on other floors where you may end... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
