The bookworm café has a cozy hipster-atmosphere and is decorated originally. The food is really delicious, even if you're not a vegetarian. Indeed there's no dish with meat, but it tastes really good! The waiter (owner?) expressed an unstressed and friendly attitude :-) Highly recommended.

Unfortunately they didn't have any gluten free for just a coffee break but we had some great milkshakes and some sort of health shake which was a great afternoon refill of energy. Great Wireless, awesome atmosphere inside and the staff was absolutely great.

As a vegetarian, I really enjoyed having simple nutritious food and an icy cold beer. More so, the atmosphere was really enjoyable. Quirky, cool and relaxed.

I was so excited to visit the Bookworm Cafe after hearing many positive reviews, how very disappointed I was. The cafe tends to be incredibly busy all the time, as it has become something of a tourist attraction as of late. I decided to persevere and wait for a seat. The waiter was rather rude and ignored me several times.... More

A little expensive by HK standards but you are paying for the location - sleepy island and hippy ambience. That said the cakes were pretty good.

I really didn't fancy fish at the early restaurants and the Bookworm cafe looked interesting and homely. The bear was great 45HKD for a pint so I ordered a Pizza, a big mistake :) it took half an hour plus to arrive and I had finished the beer. No matter they were lovely when I said j want to pay... Sometimes its hard to find vegetarian food in Hong Kong. We had the bean burger and the salad and they were both really good. The atmosphere is really quirky as the walls are lined with books and quotes.

A vegan restaurant in one of the two main hamlets on the island of Lamma. We had taken the ferry from HK island to the southern port of Sok Kwu Wan and then took the family trail across the island to Yung Shue Wan. There are a lot of fish restaurants in the two hamlets but we weren't super-hungry. The... More

My boyfriend arranged a surprise day for me while we were visiting Hong Kong and we spent the morning hiking & swimming on Lamma island. As I am vegetarian he took me to the Bookworm cafe for lunch. ' The atmosphere and food in this small cafe are exceptional and definitely worth a visit (not only for vegetarians). Would go... More
