Went at about 8:00 on a Friday and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table at this popular spot. We ordered the first thing on the menu, thinly-sliced bbq beef. Be advised, if you want bbq, you must make a minimum of 2 orders. Anyway, it was worth it, as the meat came with loads of delicious kimchi... More

After hours of looking for a good place to have dinner, about to collapse and just eat a bag of Lays for dinner, my husband found this restaurant. We get there and had to wait 30 mins and it was worth the wait! We ordered the BBQ recommended by chef dish. It was fantastic! An impressive and delicious banchans allows... More

There is always a line here so be prepared to wait for a table. It's more pricey than other Korean places in town, but it's worth it for the quality of food. Fantastic Beef!

Still remember my first trip to Ben Jia 本家,a hidden gem located right across Golden Eagle Phase 2 Shopping Mall. It is on basement 1 and I am a bit skeptical when my wife announced to me that this is the best Korean restaurant that she ever dined in. My doubts, fear and of course, my hunger were all put... Go early.... at about 21:00 the place is almost empty (the locals eat at about 18:00). The food is really good at reasonable prices. The only minor problem we had was the waitress' English (the menu is in English but the waitress we first met didn't understand English at all, not even a word). After a few misunderstandigs came a... More

It's on the basement floor of the building and easily missed if you don't know what you're looking for. Either go early or after 7pm or 7:30pm to avoid the huge lines. The locals tend to eat dinner around 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The meat dishes are great. Go with a group of friends so you can sample all of the... More

We were waiting for half an hour which I heard was quite normal. The food was great, BBQ, Bibimbap, soup... They all really good, I just don't have that big stomach to eat them all.

Unless you enjoy 45 minute plus waits, try to get there before 5pm. Last I checked, they still don't take reservations for dinner. You could argue the wait is worth it though. Everything from the meats, to the free dishes and vegetables that come with the meal are top quality. I also recommend the chicken and rice soup.

Service and setting is nothing special, but the dishes we got were fresh and well made. I would recommend it if you are on the hunt for good Korean food.

Compared to other local Korean restaurants, this place is more on the pricier side. However, that's because the food is great! The workers are all Chinese but the owner is Korean. All the banchan they served was tasty... seriously a lot plus soup and fresh fresh, FRESH lettuce. The servers were nice but seemed just a bit lost. Went on... More
