Highest train in the world, scenery is amazing along with the experience of being there for a couple of days, is a unique experience, however next time we go to Lhasa, we'll just fly.

There are many similar restaurants in Lhasa, our tour guide told us that she didn't want to come to this place because of "some religious reasons". The food and price are okay, but I think we prefer the Namaste (at the Lhasa Cinema) better.

This could be the best restaurant I have been to throughout whole Tibet. Everything they served was delicately plated. Food tasted wonderfu, be it Tibetan or Western. Besides, the seats were spacious and comfortable (we had a semi-exclusive compartment). Services were nice, too. Dishes generally cost CNY 35 to 70. The location is very close to Jokhang Temple.

Hello. I traveled to Tibet during National Holiday. I was very pleased with the Snowland Restaurant. I ate there 2 or 3 times. I ate Yak Steak and was very pleased. I also suffered from altitude sickness and enjoyed their fruit cocktail. I ate fruit cocktail for about 3 days.... altitude sickness is not pleasant. I would highly recommend the... More

Just for convenience, before we visited the local monastery we had lunch at the Snow Land Treare restaurant nearby. Inside the restaurant is small and a bit disorganised with some cooking carried out in the restaurant itself. However the staff were very friendly and the food was very good value.

The food here is fine, and you'll get the standard menu seen elsewhere: curries and naan bread, Tibetan dishes, Chinese dishes, pizza/fries/etc. I visited twice, and the service was rather average both times – for this reason I'd rather recommend the New Mandala or the Lhasa Kitchen. Having said that, it wasn't at all *bad* here.

This is the worst restaurant we went to in Lhasa. There's no wifi, the food is absolutely mediocre and the worst of thing is the service! We ordered our food and waited for more than one hour for two dishes. We tried to ask a young waitress but she didn't say anything because it was resting time for her! She... More

We had just arrived in Lhasa, we had stop in for dinner. The 3 of us had tried the yak potato stew, yak noodle, and yak steak with pebbles. I have to say the yak was quite tasty. As a previous recommendation from a friend to get this tea to help with altitude sickness that all of us were feeling.... More

This is a foreigner friendly restaurant. The staff can communicate in English. Our tour operator recommended if we wanted western food. When we walked in there were so many choices of Tibetan, Indian and Chinese dishes. We ate almost every meal here except breakfast. For lunch we had cream of vegetable soup and home fries potatoes. It was excellent. One... More
