If you're looking for first class service and a/c accommodation, this is not the place for you, but why would you be in the heart of Quiapo if you're not ready to sweat it out and do a lot of walking. Now, if you love good food accompanied by great prices you need to try it out. Their food still... More

went there for a lunch with my family. Their hototai soup tastes old. Dad asked for pepper, the server can just simply say they don't have one instead of saying it's not "in" to ask for pepper.

The service here is very poor! My husband and i went here at 4pm to have late lunch. It took 5 mins for them to give their menu, another 5 mins for someone to approach us to get our orders, and FOREVER to serve their food! After total of 45 mins there, we walked out hungry and very disappointed! and... More

We went with some friends. The specialty rice smelled of cockroaches. The camarones were too small, the calamares were too big and greasy. The men's washroom toilet bowl has black mold stains. (The most disgusting toilet bowl I have ever seen and I have seen some really gross ones). The price was not cheap either. Skip this place, there are... More

The first time I ate here was with my cousin Jay2x who painstakingly walked me all the way from Quiapo to the supposedly oldest restaurant in Manila. We were already nearly broke because we bought stuff in quiapo but after assessing our collective monies, found that we can still have a good meal (and we did). This is the reason... More

I learned about Ambos Mundos while researching online. My friend drove us to Sta. Cruz, Manila to find the oldest restaurant in Manila built in 1888. We stopped and asked questions for directions. We ended up circling around Recto Avenue and Tomas Mapua Street to get to Florentino Torres Street. There were a lot of no U-turn signs and no... More

The real Ambos Mundos Restaurant does not have any existing branch at this time. Loyal patrons would know the original location in Estero Cegado and Pedro Paterno, Quiapo, Manila. The Florentino Torres Street resto is not affiliated to the rightful owners of Ambos Mundos Restaurant. I heard that they are finally opening one soon! :) More on: http://just-passing-thru.blogspot.sg/2012/05/ambos-mundos-legacy-beyond-marketing.html#.T-BObBeIByU http://just-passing-thru.blogspot.sg/2010/10/defending-family-legacy-ambos-mundos.html#.T-BObBeIByU https://www.facebook.com/AmbosMundosRestaurant

If foodies think they have tasted morcon and have never been to this place, you are sorely mistaken. A taste of the sauce is nostalgic of dewey boulevard and melt in the mouth beef fillet is pure pleasure.

Thank GOD it's just a few blocks from my place. I love their sinigang, paella, and their unique crossover rice toppings. One should try this if visiting the Binondo-Sta.Cruz area. Klassik piney resto

Me and my wife frequented the old place in P. Paterno St., during Fridays, back in the 70's. We asked around the said street and found out that the resto transferred around the Binondo area. I surfed the net to find the exact location. We ordered the Paella and the Paella they served is an authentic one like they do... More
