This is a very nice al fresco restaurant situated in the mangroves. Unfortunately, the seafood we wanted were not available and the chef was out still doing the marketing. Mind you, we came for dinner. I thought chefs do their marketing in the morning to get the fresh catch of the day etc. Anyway, we were already there and this... More

Visited for dinner. Quite nice ambiance though a bit 'secluded'. The wait staff are attentive. Food is tasty. The sea, moon, and cricket sounds add up to the beauty of this place. There are couple of tricycles outside at your service and when there is none, one of their staff will be your designated driver which I think is a... More

We came here with a big group of family at night. First thing I noticed were the lights are a bit gloomy. The ambiance was too dull. It would have made a big difference if they use a different shade of lights. The quality of the food was average. But the service is good.

My wife and I ate here twice, on two occasions about a month apart. It is nicest to get there about half an hour before sunset, which is behind mountains across the bay. Access to the restaurant is down a short private road and past the owner's home. The restaurant entrance is down about a 50 meter long, elevated boardwalk... More

Was there with my girl and we ordered food from the choalgrill. It was really good. The view and the atmosphere were really nice. The service was good but we felt uncomfortable leaving because the waiter showed he was disappointed at us, apparently because he excepted more tip. The bill was more than 1000 pesos and the restaurant add 10%... More

We were so hungry upon arrival at the Puerto Prinsesa airport so our driver from the hotel recommended Badjao Seafood restaurant for breakfast. It had a beautiful ocean view and there were mangroves under the resto. We had mango shake, banana shake, yummy *chicken sotanghon soup, *sizzling tanigue fish steak, mixed veggies, tomato and onions and pork sisig. The ones... More

We went as a group of 6, 2 being residents of Puerto Princesa. We found the menu well varied with plenty of options, items ordered were promptly prepared and delivered and outstanding in appearance, freshness, preparation and taste. This must be the best seafood in Puerto Princesa Situated at the edge of a mangrove forest on a raised deck, the... More

Been to the Badjao a few times now and I just don't get why some people rate it so highly, sure there's nothing wrong with this place but the food on a couple of occasions now could have been better. All in All quite a good restaurant with a better view than food.

Sitting high above the water in beautiful mangroves, our party of three had an enjoyable evening and meal. If you like fish, I highly recommend the lapu-lapu (grouper). Ours was cooked just the way we asked. It was delicious. We also ordered the Samaral. It was smokey and dirty tasting. Don't try it. The mixed vegetables were cooked perfect. It's... More
