Traditional Singaporean breakfast is Kaya toast with soft-boiled eggs. During my trip, I came to eat breakfast in Ya Kun Kaya Toast every morning. Kaya toast is toasted bread filled with butter and kaya. Kaya is a kind of jam made from eggs, sugar, coconut milk and some I have no idea. The shopper was friendly and told us what... More

Very friendly staff who show you just how you should eat this traditional breakfast. It was nice but not anything I'd rave about. Tried it and probably won't rush back but at least I can say I've tried it!

I don't really know what the fuss is all about! I was kind of disappointed. The toast was almost burnt ,they did not spread the butter so when you bit into it you either found a big chunk of butter or none ,and they just didn't put enough of that yummy coconut jam (when I asked for some more jam... Set A is the most valuable and tasty meal in the cafe, it cost less than 5 SDG. The love the boiled egg and the kaya toast. And this is the most local one and feel like Hong Kong style cafe. It's worth to try when you stay in Singapore.

Kaya toast and boiled egg here are very famous. Lots of my friend suggested me that this must be on the list though it wasn't amazed me. If you're kinda sweet teeth, both of them and milk tea tasted alright. However, compare to their prices and recommendations, I expected nicer food and service.

Good for breakfast and afternoon snack. You can order a set that comes with toasts, eggs and drink of your choice ( coffee, tea ). The toasts are delicious and coffee is very tasty.
