Some say that the portions are too small, for us they were even at the large side. But Esquina is all about quality and imagination. After snacks (great oysters), land (try the lettuce Romaine!!!), sea (ceviche / scallops - a bit at the dry end)...More

Enjoyed our experience at esquina! Sat by the bar and saw the kitchen dynamics. Tapas portions were small, but are tapas so that’s the standard.

One of the places to go for tapas. Quality remains good but somewhat feel that it has dipped slightly. Charred Lettuce is highly recommended.

Finally got to sample a variety of their offerings through a tasting menu. The oyster was exquisitely paired with some very inventive ingredients. Gotta love the grilled octopus with grilled corn sauce as well. And the grilled lettuce...ok, they brought lettuce to another level. Enough...More

Have been Esquina a number of times in the last couple of months. Every time I am there I have enjoyed the various dishes and do repeat the favourites. The food is exquisite and the deserts are to kill for specially BBC.

Main courses are tasty, but drinks and desserts (too sweet) could be better. Hope could indicate the level of sweetness of the desserts. Had a great birthday at the place overall. 😊

We visited this evening. Couldn't believe the small servings we were offered. Service was patchy. Burger was raw. The cauliflower was fantastic, as was the croquettes and squid, what was offered, Sorry guys, at this price frankly extortion!More

Really enjoyed the tapas here. Got a seat at the bar where we could see the chefs preparing the dishes. We waited for quite a bit in the beginning even though reservation was already made. However in the end, due to the food being good...More

Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful
sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling
sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its
blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an
Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit
almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony
continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to
the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill.

Inspired by the colourful tapas bars found in Spain, ESQUINA offers modern Spanish tapas in a unique location surrounded by post-war colonial buildings, hip coffee joints and old-school home-style restaurants. Helming the kitchen is head chef Carlos Montobbio who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Celler de Can Roca (3 stars), Zuberoa (2 stars) and Cinc Sentits (1 star). Designed by Singapore-based Columbian architect Antonio Eraso, ESQUINA features a long communal bar and open kitchen with specially designed stools made in the UK.
